‘Other Places’ is the latest release from upcoming Berlin talent Weska, taken from Drumcode’s annual compilation of A-side releases. He joins the talents of ANNA, Charlotte De Witt and Boxia, amongst a host of others. Weska is “brought into the fold with equally engaging razor-sharp tracks that are primed to do lasting damage” and sits well amongst his label mates. The track builds up slowly with a heavy kick drum, reverb heavy claps and a rising synth line until it reaches the heavy, wobbling arpeggios that are manipulated until the tracks climax. -Dan Peeke
